5 min – Olympic Discovery Trail

Ninety miles of scenic paved trail for biking, walking, and strollers along the strait and through forested areas with beautiful views. The trail runs from Port Townsend to La Push, with numerous access points in Sequim, Port Angeles, Forks, and other cities along it's path.


10 min – Salt Creek Recreation Area & Striped Peak

Explore tide pools at low tide, hike to panoramic ocean views, or camp and picnic. Watch for seals and sea stars!


15 min - Port Angeles, WA

A vibrant waterfront town serving as the gateway to Olympic National Park. Stroll the harbor, explore local shops and restaurants, enjoy fresh seafood, or catch sunset views along the waterfront trail.


15 min- Olympic National Park Visitor Center

Gather your park information, and Ranger badges for your kids. 


15 min – Ediz Hook

A narrow sand spit with views of the harbor and Olympic Mountains. Great for walking, bike riding, birdwatching, and spotting marine life.


15 min – Lyre River Conservation Area

A serene and wooded riverside area perfect for peaceful walks, fly fishing, or simply sitting in nature.


15 min – Mouth of the Elwha River

Where river meets sea—ideal for birdwatching, beach walks, and observing the ongoing restoration of a major watershed.


20 min – Lake Crescent

A stunning glacier-carved lake with crystal-clear water. Swim, kayak, jump off rocks into the water or relax on the shores. Rentals and a lodge nearby.


20 min - Spruce Railroad Trail and Devil's Punchbowl Hike

Paved lakefront trail, bike-friendly, stroller-friendly, historic tunnels.

It’s one of the most loved family trails in the area.


20 min – Marymere Falls

A family-friendly hike through old-growth forest to a gorgeous waterfall. Trailhead is near Lake Crescent Lodge.  


20 min – Madison Falls

Short, paved trail to a beautiful and accessible waterfall. Great for kids and those looking for a low-effort outing.


20 min - Mount Storm King

A steep and rewarding hike overlooking Lake Crescent, offering sweeping views of the deep blue water and surrounding Olympic Mountains. The trail climbs steadily through forest before opening to dramatic cliffside viewpoints — a bucket-list adventure for experienced hikers!


40 min – Sequim

A sunny town known for lavender farms, boutiques, and dining. Visit in summer for lavender festivals and coastal fun.


45 min – Hurricane Ridge

Drive up into Olympic National Park for panoramic mountain views, wildflower meadows, and beginner-friendly hikes.


45 min - Hurricane Hill

Paved hike along Hurricane Ridge with sweeping 360 degree views. This hike is accessible and ideal for photographs.


45 min – Dungenous National Wildlife Refuge, Dungeness Spit

Hike this 5-mile sand spit that stretches into the Strait of Juan de Fuca. A birdwatcher’s dream with a lighthouse at the end.


55 min - Salmon Cascades

A dramatic roadside stop where the Sol Duc River surges through rocky channels. In fall, watch salmon leap upstream from the viewing platforms just steps from the parking area. Easy stop on route to Sol Duc Hot Springs and Falls. 


1 hr – Sol Duc Falls and Hot Springs

A short hike leads to one of the park’s most photogenic waterfalls. Nearby hot springs soaking pools also make for a great detour (reservations may be needed during peak season).


1 hr 20 min – La Push

Explore coastal beaches like First Beach, Second Beach, and Third Beach. Known for dramatic sea stacks and Pacific Ocean views.


1 hr 20 min - Rialto Beach

Dramatic sea stacks, and stunning sunsets. Popular for photography and "Hole in the Wall" hike. 


1 hr 40 min – Cape Flattery

The northwestern most point in the continental U.S.! A short walk leads to cliffs overlooking sea caves and ocean wildlife.


1 hr 50 min – Hoh Rainforest

Step into a moss-covered wonderland. Hike the Hall of Mosses or longer trails under towering spruce and dripping ferns.
